Sydney

The magical Sydney. Some people hate it, some people love it. I love Sydney.
Sydney is the biggest city in Australia and it is the capital of New South Wales.  Still not the capital of Australia as many people think but it's so impressive that I think it should be the capital.

Things to do and see in Sydney

Sydney Opera house and the Harbour bridge

Head down to Circular Quay and take a walk around the world famous Opera house. Grab a drink from the Opera Bar and enjoy the beautiful views of the Harbour Bridge.

The Botanical Gardens

Wander around the  beautiful Botanical Gardens next to the Opera house and read a book on a nice sheltered bench.  This is a great place to do some exercising too!

Ferry to Manly beach

Take a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly beach. The ferry costs around 7 dollars one way and takes 30 minutes to Manly. I think this was the highlight of my Sydney trip. You can see the whole CBD from the ferry.
Once you get to Manly, you will find this really nice beach town and some really nice beaches. Spend a day on the beach and head back to the CBD just before the sunset so you can see the sun going down from the boat :)

Bondi Beach

Take a bus to the famous Bondi Beach where you will find fit girls and guys tanning their pumped up bodies. Spend a day sunbathing, surfing or if you like skateboarding they got pretty cool Skate Park by the beach as well! If tanning isn't your thing you can do the beautiful coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach. The walk is around 6 km long and you can see some really nice cliff tops, beaches, parks and rock pools. Before heading back, stop by the Bondi Junction and take away some really cheap Asian Street food! (2-4 dollars)

Darling Harbour

Darling Harbour has many tourist attractions like Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, Sydney Wildlife world, Entertainment centre and many other places. It also has large selection of restaurants, bars and clubs. This is a great place if you feel like dancing ;)

Shopping

There are several places to spend your money. In the city centre there are for example Pitt Street Mall and Westfield Sydney, both massive shopping malls full of shops. If you want to buy some souvenirs bargain prices I recommend to go to the Paddy's Market in China town. Next to the Paddy's Market
you will find a shopping centre called Market City which is full of outlet stores with nice discounts!

Besides all of these. Google what events Sydney has to offer. There is always something happening there.

And just to make sure again. This is just where I went and what I saw in that one week I spent in Sydney. I'm pretty sure I will go back and hopefully I get to know the real Sydney and find some amazing new places!

Hope you got some inspiration :)

x Jasmin
